大概两三年后，我们都搬出了小屋。

日子在忙碌中过得飞快，转眼又是五六年。
偶尔在郑秀英新家喝茶，会聊起从前。

郑秀英继续说：
“他那个前妻，带着女儿找上门，堵着他要钱，不给就天天哭闹，骂他“劳改犯”、“畜生爹”。”
“顾向东被逼得没法子，把老娘留下的那点老宅卖了，钱几乎全给了前妻母女。没了住处，他只好到处打零工，租最便宜的车库、棚屋住。”
她顿了顿，轻声说：
“据说他过得落魄得很，还到处跟人打听你的消息。”
“是吗，再见面又有啥意义……”
我轻轻说，喝了一口茶。
我们沉默了一会儿。
“都过去了。”
郑秀英笑笑。
“是啊，过去了。”
我也笑笑。
大概又过了五六年的光景。
郑秀英和一个跑长途的司机老王把日子过得热气腾腾。
老王人实在，话不多，但知冷知热。
我替她高兴。"
