厂长敲着桌子，那声音像敲在陈芸的心坎上。
“厂里不干涉员工私生活，但是，影响不好。现在外面传得很难听，说你利用职权……搞不正当男女关系。”
“那是谣言。”
陈芸的声音干涩，像是从砂纸上磨出来的。
“那是谣言，但有人信。”
厂长点了支烟，烟雾喷在她脸上。
“干部房资源紧张，多少双眼睛盯着呢。你那个表弟，要是没地方住，厂里可以协调集体宿舍。别让人戳脊梁骨。”
陈芸走出办公室时，腿是软的。
外面的阳光很刺眼，照得她头晕目眩。
她想哭，但这里是工厂，到处都是眼睛。
她必须挺直腰杆。
回到家——那个所谓的家。
王富贵已经做好了饭。
一盘炒青菜，一盘回锅肉，肉切得厚薄均匀，全是精五花。
看见陈芸进门，王富贵把手在围裙上擦了擦，咧嘴一笑。
“姐，吃饭。”
陈芸看着那张毫无心机的脸，心里的委屈突然决堤。
她想骂人，想摔东西，想问问老天爷为什么要这么折磨她。
但她只是坐下来，拿起筷子。
第一口饭咽下去，像是吞了块石头。
“姐。”
王富贵突然放下碗。
他低着头，看着桌上的木纹。
“俺听说，厂里有个杂物间。”
陈芸的筷子顿住了。
