“因为那是她的人。”崔昭看着他，“你母亲的人。我说我没拿，她们会说我在狡辩。我闹大了，她们会说崔家的姑娘手脚不干净。我不解释，她们反而没话说。”
他看着她，目光很深。
“你就不怕她们传出去？”
“传什么？说我偷东西？”崔昭笑了一下，“她们不敢。传出去丢的是王府的脸，你母亲不会让这种事发生。”
他没说话。
崔昭重新拿起书：“你要是想问罪，就问。要是不问，我要睡了。”
“昭昭。”他叫她。
她没抬头。
“为什么不解释？”
她顿了一下，抬起头。
“解释了你会信？”
他看着她，没回答。
她等了一会儿，等不到答案，低头继续看书。
“我信。”
她愣住，抬头看他。
他坐在那儿，看着她，说：“我信你没拿。”
崔昭不知道该怎么接这句话。她以为他会和所有人一样，觉得她在狡辩，觉得她不够清白。可他说他信。
“为什么？”她问。
“因为你不需要。”他说，“你是崔家的姑娘，不缺一块玉佩……你是我的人，更不会偷东西。”
她别开眼，不看他。
“随你信不信。”她说，“我无所谓。”
他看了她一会儿，站起来，走到门口，忽然停下来。
“昭昭。”
“嗯。”
“以后这种事，不用忍着。我的人，不用受这种气。”
门关上了。
崔昭坐在床上，拿着书，半天没翻一页。
她脑子里全是他那句话——“我信。”"
