“火还烧着，刚走不久。”
四个男人在庙里转了一圈。一个走到火堆边，用脚踢了踢灰烬；一个走到沈明珠刚才躺的地方，低头看了看。
“有血迹。”那个男人说。
沈明珠的心猛地一沉。
“受伤了？”粗哑声音问。
“看着像。血还没干，走不远。”
四个男人对视一眼，转身往外走。
“追。”
脚步声远了。
沈明珠刚松一口气，忽然听见外面传来一声马嘶——是他们的马！
“马在那儿！”有人喊。
糟了。
沈明珠看向萧执。萧执脸色沉得吓人，握着刀的手青筋暴起。
“你在这儿，”他说，“我去——”
话没说完，外面传来打斗声。
萧执冲了出去。
沈明珠想跟出去，腿却软得站不起来。她只能躲在神像后，听着外面的动静。
刀剑碰撞声，闷哼声，惨叫声。
一声接一声，在寂静的夜里格外刺耳。
不知过了多久，声音停了。
死一般的寂静。
沈明珠的心跳得像要炸开。她扶着神像站起来，腿还在抖，但她强迫自己往外走。
一步，两步。
走到庙门口。
月光下，地上躺着四个人，一动不动。血从他们身下漫出来，染红了地面。
萧执站在尸体中间，手里握着刀，刀尖还在滴血。他的背上添了一道新伤，血浸透了衣裳。
“萧执……”沈明珠的声音发颤。
萧执转过头看她。月光照在他脸上，他的眼睛很冷，冷得像结了冰。
“没事了。”他说。"
